Otter Creek Academy is an all girls residential treatment facility. Surrounded by forty-eight acres of wildlife and beautiful Lake Cumberland in Wayne County, Otter Creek Academy is a serene and peaceful setting for young ladies in need of counseling and treatment. The facility boasts some of the most enchanting scenery and natural beauty in Kentucky.
Residents find a peaceful and down-home atmosphere to assist in their rehabilitation. Self-respect and self-care are emphasized in every aspect of life at the Academy. Otter Creek believes every person has the right to the opportunities life has to offer. It is their first priority that the youth understand that opportunities are available if only they reach out with determination and dedication to grasp them.
Otter Creek’s team of dedicated staff and counselors work diligently and sacrificially to serve the youth placed in their care. Their strong, positive influences are a source of strength to youth who are attempting to overcome life’s hardships and develop appropriate decision-making skills. The youth placed in our care have on-campus school and recreational activities available to them. Otter Creek’s residential treatment program is designed to be completed within eight months.
